Depending on interest she might also be speaking elsewhere in our area on February 7th or February 9th.  These arrangements are still in progress.

Phyllis has written and edited eleven books.  Her latest –Understanding ISIS & the New Global War on Terror: A Primer  means that her analysis will be particularly valuable in the months ahead. She is an excellent speaker, thoughtful, and frames her recommendations in a broad perspective.

Phyllis’s other books include: Understanding the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict,  Before & After; US Foreign Policy and the War on Terror; and Challenging Empire: How People, Governments and the UN Defy U.S. Power. She works with many anti-war organizations, and writes and speaks widely across the U.S. and around the world as part of the global peace movement. Phyllis has served as an informal adviser to several top UN officials on Middle East and UN democratization issues. In 2001 she helped found and remains active with the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation.
