Our August meeting will be scheduled later in the month than usual to accommodate summer travel schedules.  So it’s the 4th Tuesday of the month in our usual meeting place at the Friends meeting house.

On the agenda will be an update on the threat level of war between the US and Iran and what we can do to reduce that threat.  We will also be following congressional efforts to stop the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia and ways to overcome several presidential vetoes of such legislation.  Is there any way that we can use the political circumstances of the presidential election to focus more attention on Iran policy and stopping support for the bloody war in Yemen that we are supporting in so many ways?
