Marcia has been a key Women Against War organizer ever since our 3-month Fast for Peace in 2002-3. Marcia now coordinates our active Iran Project, which has broadened its concern to Yemen and regional conflicts.
Marcia has a flair for promoting our peace message at special events, from International Women’s Day celebrations, to a creative welcome for Code Pink’s leader, Medea Benjamin, to our vigil last year at the concert commemorating World War I. We love her energy and enthusiastic support for all we do!

Learn from Pat Hynes, speaking on: War and  Warming:  Can We Save the Planet without Taking on the Pentagon?
Pat Hynes’ field is environmental health. As director of the Traprock Center for Peace and Justice in western Massachusetts, she writes and speaks widely on the relationship of militarism to climate change, as well as the health effects of war and militarism on society and on women.
Pat works closely with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, providing support to war refugees in Syria and Sierra Leone.
