Save the Date for a vigil: “Children Are Starving Because of US Bombs in Yemen”

Demand an end to US military support, Propaganda, and weapons sales for Saudi attacks on Yemen.

When: Thursday, November 29th from Noon to 1 PM

Where: Sidewalk in front of Capitol Park East, Eagle St, Albany, NY 12210 looking down State Street hill.

What: We will be using some of the materials used by Voices for Creative Nonviolence in their election week vigil at the Saudi Consulate in New York City and some signs and leaflets of our own.  The visuals will point out the bombings of school buses, hospitals and other civilian infrastructure and the increasing attacks on the vital port of Hodeida that handles food and medicine for about 80% of Yemen’s people. In the past 3.5 years approximately 57,000 people have been killed and 14 million are starving and “on the brink of famine”.  A Yemeni child under five years of age dies of starvation or disease every 10 minutes of every day.

US is complicit in starving Yemeni children, 14 million Yemenis on the brink of famine, November 2018

Who:  Women Against War and our allies working for an end to this war.

Invitation to join us and to advocate for a ceasefire and complete US withdrawal of military aid, weapons sales, and intelligence information in support of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

YEMEN CAN’T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT CONGRESS TAKES OFFICE IN JANUARY!
